2009

  • Linguistics Majors Kortney Babington, Mathias Bullerman, Adrienne DeWitt, Kate Lupinska, and Michael Opper have been selected by the Aresty Research Center to participate in a video interview series called "The Undergraduate Research Spotlight".  The students will be interviewed about their research 0n the phonetics and phonology glossolalia, led by Prof Paul de Lacy.
  • Linguistics Majors Ayanna Beattie and Allan Schwade have been accepted to present their work on the role of psychoacoustic similarity in Korean tongue twisters and puns at the Harvard Undergraduate Linguistics Conference and the Cornell undergraduate linguistics conference.
  • Linguistics Majors Kortney Babington, Mathias Bullerman, Adrienne DeWitt, Kate Lupinska, and Michael Opper have been selected to present their work on the phonetics and phonology of glossolalia at the Aresty Research Symposium in April.
  • Linguistics Majors June Sultan and Lindsey Charbonneau presented their work at the Aresty Research Symposium (2009): "From single words to sentences in Early Child Language."
